11 September 2015

A Coerver® Coaching Performance Academy player Romehl Seraton has become the first ever winner of the Daniel Sturridge ‘Aston Player of the Year’ Award. Romehl, who is part of the West Midlands Performance Academy groups based in Great Barr, Birmingham, has been part of the Performance Academy for 12 months and has seen tremendous developments in the past year.

Romehl’s parents were delighted with their son’ accomplishments, saying “"Words cannot describe how proud we are of Romehl's achievement, especially as he will go down in history for doing something that he loves. Romehl has only been playing football for 2 seasons and it is evident that he has a natural football ability.

Coerver® Coaching have nurtured Romehl's football ability allowing him to progress significantly which is evident in the way he now plays. Romehl is a humble boy with a great attitude towards football and is always excited to learn and improve. The Coerver® coaches have catered for his individual footballing needs allowing for a mutual respect and good rapport to take place which is allowing them to build Romehl as not just a fantastic football but also a positive, confident young boy.

We have definitely seen Romehl's confidence grow when playing football and recognise that this is due to the continued effort and support that he has received from Coerver® Coaching in which we are very grateful for."

Romehl’s older brother praised Romhel’s attitude alongside his work within the Performance Academy “"Romehl is my younger brother and I was very excited for him when he received his achievement because he deserves the best. I am very hopeful that Romehl will have a future of playing football and I am very proud of him. I think that Coerver® coaching has really helped Romehl to use his weaker foot more."

Romehl himself spoke of his pride in his acheivement " I am very proud to be the first ever winner of the Daniel Sturridge Aston Player of the year 2015/2016 trophy, this is a great achievement for me, especially as I am only at the beginning of my football development. Daniel Sturridge is one of my football idols and this has made me want to become a professional footballer even more and I know the hard work and dedication I need to put in supported by my Coerver® Coaching in reaching my goal.

Since becoming a Coerver® Performance Academy player, my football style has improved to a whole other level especially within my football matches, which is one of the reasons that I have been able to achieve this wonderful trophy from one of the best players in British football."

Performance Academy Manager, Luke Cheyne echoed the comments made following Romehl’s award “All at Coerver® Coaching UK would like to congratulate Romehl on becoming the first ever winner of the Daniel Sturridge ‘Aston Player of the Year’ award. Romehl has been on the programme for almost 12 months, and the developments we have seen have been fantastic. Romehl is a very respectful young boy who understands the importance of working hard in order to achieve success. Regularly completing his homestudy, and consistent high performance during Performance Academy sessions has seen him develop immensely in all facets of his game.

It seems quite apt that Romhel should receive an award connected to that of England and Liverpool Striker Daniel Sturridge, who himself refers to the impact Coerver® has on his development as a young player, an article of which can be seen here from FourFourTwo Performancehttp://www.fourfourtwo.com/performance/skills/daniel-sturridge-run-rings-around-opposition.
